Hi, this is what I found a few months ago in my ´69.... a nice "work" to adapt not-matching standard inserts to hydropneumatic struts.....
now the car looks better, but... do you have any pic to help me to restore the chassis? thanks, Sergio ![]()

That's not a 69 metal section- its from a 67 that was modified-

check out these upper strut mount areas. Who ever told you that pneumatic struts required different upper mount areas on 68- newer is telling you stories. they use the same upper mounts!

well, I don´t know why a previous owner cut the chassis and the supporting mounts..maybe a longer o shorter strut inserts? but the modified supporting mounts are a bit shorter than the "new" ones. If you check the parts manual you can see two different parts number for supporter mounts: 1) for spring struts (hydropneumatics) and 2) for standard struts.
anyway, I think this car wasn´t very sporty on the road! all that I need to repair this mess is a pic of the chassis without the supporting mounts.
