I feel a little stupid now...sorry.
The car is an 83. I looked through hundreds of posts using search ( here and at rennlist ), but I could not find the info I was looking for. I know that these impact bumper cars have a spacer that needs to be removed after lowering them. I just do not know how to do it. Or what to exactly remove. Any special tools, torgue..etc. I also know the car needs to be realigned as well. Thanks for your help.....I need to invest in some good handbooks.

I removed mine years ago. From recollection, I just undid the nut on the top of the shock piston, pushed the shock down and removed the spacer.
It sits on top of the shock, between the shock housing and the chassis. |

Does the 83 still have that iron spacer? The 83's were delivered at ROW ride height.

after removed you do not need to realign.
