SO2's
So.. My SO2 Pole Position Bridgestone tires have about 3,000 mi. Seem fine, BUT Bridge stone and Firestone are the same co.I'm thinking that perhaps I wont be running the 911 to the high speedo numbers until there is some feedback about the Bridgestone process in relation to those of Firestone. Can't imagine what a blown 245 would do to P-car at 100+. I have SO2's poles on mine and I am not the least bit worried. The tires being recalled are at the bottom end of the spectrum and are made as cheap as possible for the car manufacturer. SO2's came or still do come standard on 911 Turbos. I think there top speed may be a little faster than most of us here.

I wouldn't worry at all about your SO2s. I've been running the RE71s (which are inferior to your tire) for the past two seasons w/ the POC and haven't had any problems. In fact, I really vouch for the performance and durability of my RE71s.

Not to worry. Your car weighs a heck of a lot less than a fully loaded SUV and doesn't see the kind of terrain that SUVs do. Over here in the baking hot middle east where you have to drive over 110 mph to keep from getting Toyota Landcruisers up your tailpipes, Bridgestones are very well thought of. I just junked a set of Dunlop Sports tires for ply separation and everybody said that they were fine up to about 220 km.p.h. but after that all bets were off due to impending ply separation. I'm runing RE-71 with good results. Anybody else hear that the S02, 0S2, or whatever get noisy after lots of miles?
