Insurance help....
just got off the phone with American Collectors, and all was fine, until the year of my Benz.............1992
Wanted to insure the 911, and my two other cars are a 92 Benz and a 99 Honda. They can't approve me because the Benz is 5 years too old, C'MON! Anyone suggest another company to go to that doesn't have the age limitation? Only reason I titled the Honda in my name was to get the 3rd car, and now that isn't enough.

Not sure I follow...your Benz is too old? What about the Honda?
Hagerty Collectors insurance is my carrier. They insured my '79 911. There are some "stipulations": 1) Must have one other car registered/insured as a daily driver (insured by a "regular" company...I have Allstate). There must be one registered/insured "regular" car for each driver in the household. I'm single, so it's just me/one car. If you have a wife/16 yr. old kid, they each have to have an insured daily driver. 2) Vehicle must be garaged in a locked building when not in use. 3) Limited "pleasure driving" only (shows, events, cruises, etc.). 4) Vehicle cannot be used in place of the daily driver (work, errands, pick up kids from school, etc.). Good luck. Last edited by Danny_Ocean; 12-27-2006 at 11:29 AM.. |

Check out Sneed Insurance Co. Similar to Hagerty with less restrictions. I have Hagerty and plan on switching to Sneed when my policy is up for renewal.

Yep, Hagerty has age restrictions, you might want to check Sneed or some of the other insurance companies advertised in Panorama... Good luck!

Wouldn't take mine because it's considered "modified" (89 Targa with 3.6 transplant).
