Question 1970 911 T - Chrome Headlight Rings Question

Early experts - Need your expertise please. I've searched but no luck.

The chrome on my headlight rings (Wide on top narrow at the bottom) on my 70 T is in poor - fair shape. So I bought a better set off eBay - but, with the adjusting holes and rubber plugs - one on top and one on the side. I think I got two of the same (rather than a pair).

My questions:

1 - If I were to install these on my car, the driver side adjusting hole and plug would be facing inboard and the passenger side hole/plug would be facing outboard. So I guess I got two of the same, right? (Not a pair)...OR is this normal?

2 - Other than the plugs, these look exactly like the originals on the T. Was there a design change? What year would these be from?

My thanks in advance.

This forum is awesome!!

You're all good. That's the way the repro sugar scoops come.
