Brake Upgrade

I have a 1975 911s w/3.0L, wide body and 15's
I'm going to be upgrading the brakes before installing a Whipple Supercharger. A friend gave me a set of rotors, calipers and master cylinder off a 1988 930.

Does anyone know how difficult this conversion is ?

Questions:

1. Master cylinder, will this just bolt up on a 1975 ?

2. Will 15' rims still work with the larger rotors ?

Any help is appreciated,
Jim

Hey Jim ,out of curiosity what make you choose a supercharger over other alternatives? just doing a research.

The numbers on the Whipple supercharger from SoK are very impressive. 300+ hp and 300+ lbs of torque from a stock 3.0L.
There is no lag with a supercharger and you get considerable HP/Torque at low RPMs. The reliability should remain unchanged based on the research I've done. I've talked with several people that have had them installed since 1993 with no problems.
I also like the idea of keeping my CIS & stock engine configuration. Also having a smooth idle is a plus for me.
I think all and all I will have a more dependable car then if I highly modified my engine with carbs/cams/pistons/cylinders
Based on my cars HP/weight, ratio I should have a very fast 911 that can give a newer turbo a run for it's money.

Jim

A friend GAVE you the breaks for a late 930? Some friend! I don't think they'll fit under your 15" wheels, but it may depend on what kind they are. If they offset to the outside it may be possible. If you have the calipers and rotors you can measure the radius needed. As for the whipplecharger, you can expect 260hp to the rear wheels. This is about 300hp at the crank. A freind has this setup running at max boost for pump gas and has had it dynoed.
