H4 lamp upgrade
I am going to change my stock sealed beam to an H4 with 55/100 watt bulb. My question is: do I need to modify any wiring or fuse on the high beam side of the fuse box to account for the higher load? Will the dimmer switch handle more amperage?

Not for the 55w/60 bulb....any hotter, like the 55w/100 they recommend the relay.
nolift911@hotmail.com "Jeff Kramer" This guy has a set of H4s for sale, $75 plus shipping.... |

There's a recent thread called
"H4, H5 and Litronics" There is information there for you. And me. I'm ordering the relay kit (quite inexpensive) next time I get a mail order in. I'll do a really professional job of the wiring, and install the 100 watt high beams. ------------------ '83 SC |

Fellas, - least you forget our sponcer, Pelican Parts has the relay KIT for about $12.
I suggest we give them as much business as we can since they give us the wonderful, FREE forum to indulge ourselves! Thier prices are VERY competitive as well... |
