Yeah, they were at SEMA. They are made of plexiglass similar to a fish tank glass that is real thick.

Not for me either, but I think I see a cooling problem for the brakes .

But innovative. This is the first time I have ever seen a "see through" rim with no interference.
This has to be a new thing, otherwise the market would be filled with copies....
I'm not sure I would like to have a rim showing everything, though... I would like the rim to be a part of the car.

Interesting looking with a good 'wow' factor, but ultimately pretty impractical for any number of reasons,

The big reason it is impractical is that brake dust comes off HOT! How many people here have face shields pitted and just generally goobered up by grinding sparks? The stuff that comes off of your brakes is much worse.

This comes under the heading of, "If it don't go... Chrome it!"

Its like a big cliche' in there.

Those rims are perfect for the type that wants to armorall their tire treads and put mirrors under their car at a show.

Where is the BLING? are sparkle shoes obsolete now?

Innovative, yes.......10 minutes worth of fame, yes........

Completely useless for use on a car that will actually see the road due to the afore mentioned brake cooling issues. Regardless of getting dirty or preventing air from cooling the brakes, what about heat dissipation and transfer into the lexan/acrylic plastic from the brake rotor itself??

These wheels must be for "show cars" only, which is fine, but it certainly isn't my bag, but then again the only ropes my car may ever be behind might be found dividing up the paddocks

This strikes me as of the same mentality behind the tuck and rolled upholstered wheel wells on a few hot rod show cars back in the 50's.
I can't be sure, but I think one of the customizers who did this was one Stew Pedasso.

How about these? You could put 82SC on the fronts and SCWDP on the rears.
