P-Cars in Houston?
I remember awhile back somebody asking about where to look in Dallas for Porsches. Well, I'm going to Houston soon and was wondering if anybody could let me know of some good places for a Porsche enthusiast to check out there.

Houston - Doesn't Warren live around there? Can't think of a better Porsche stop! Bring back some spy photos of his car.

There is a place on I-10 called Memorial Imports, a lot of nice cars there. The is Don McGill on I-10 also and there is Momentum on the 59 freeway. Does Warren live here in Houston? Have I been living next to the guru himself and not even know it. Where ya at Warren?

About 420 miles West out I-10 in the outskirts, in San Angelo!

Let's see...420 miles is a little less than a four hour trip for an 'S' car to do comfortably....
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll check them out and let you know what I see. |

Warren-you're in San Angelo? You ever make it over here into Austin for an Autocross or car show?

Clay,
Yep, I've been to a couple of autocrosses at the Tracor facility on the north side! It was kind of on the 'tight' side, as courses go! |

Cool, Warren. I ran with the local Porsche Club at a few autocrosses down south at the Tony Burger Center a few years ago when they used to run their "Little Le Mans"-this was when I used my 5.0 Mustang daily driver for autocrossing-they were nice enough to let me run it against all the 911's since they knew I was a Porsche owner. That parking lot is big enough to create some 3rd gear straights (70 mph + in the 5.0 w/2.73 gears), and we had a blast-I can't wait to get my 912 back together (see post in the "motivation" thread) and terrorize some more cones. Next time you make it into Austin for a P-car- related event, let me know-it'd be cool to talk shop-(and I want to see your car.)

Try SC Sales, off chimney rock north of the 59. They usually have some nice P cars. I bought my current 88 Carrera and a nice 944 S2 cab from them. They get a lot of 928s4's if you're into that.
