Seat help, please!

Anyone have an example pic of the Monte Carlo Sport Seats from our host installed in their 911? I've got a 1978 911SC Targa that is sadly in need of some TLC in the interior department. Have been weighing buying new Monte Carlo seats versus purchasing old set of original sport seats for recovering versus having the current Recaro aftermarket seats installed by the PO recovered.

Any examples or suggestions are welcome. I'm stuck in the analysis / paralysis mode and need to break out of the block and get this project underway.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

I'm not one for updating a vintage Porsche but if you are going to do it that is one gorgeous looking interior you have there. WELL DONE!

911K,

Agree with Calling911, your interior looks great! Appreciate the quick response. The seats look very nice. Really helps to see them in a car, rather than on a stand in the parking lot. Are you pleased with the comfort level of the seats and are they low enough to give you good head clearance with the roof / upper windshield cowl? (6' 0"" here)

Thanks.

Mike

Thanks, guys- I appreciate the compliments.

I was very happy with the comfort level and quality of the seats. They sit low enough that you won't have a head clearance problem at all. I'm 5'9" and had plenty of headroom.

I say "was" and "had" because I just sold the seats yesterday. I came across a great deal on a driver's side factory '68 sport seat that I just couldn't pass up as they're one year only seats.

The Monte Carlos are actually more comfortable and grip better since you sit "in" the Monte Carlo and "on" the Recaro. I put a standard seat on the passenger's side that I had in the attic.

Now the elusive quest for a right side '68 sport seat...
