PMO Carbs

I have just been looking at PMO new carb kits for the 911. Apparenly these are supposed to be as good if not better then the Webbers. My own 88 3.2 has just been rebuild with 964 cams and the next major purchase will be SSI and a sport muffler. I am very interested in maybe converting to 46 PMO's after the SSI's. My question is regarding the cam. I guess to get the best out of carbs I would need something like a 911s or GE40 cam. Does anyone know if either would work without pocketing the pistons?. I am running std compression ratio. I am currently running MAF which works well with the 964 cams and am looking forward to getting the SSI's on. Does anyone know if the 46 PMOs will work with the 964 cams? I'm thinking the cams need to be a bit wilder. Thanks.
