Clutch Pedal problem HELP!!

I have an '87 Carrera with a G50. Replaced clutch & bled the system. Clutch pressure is very good however the pedal return is very weak. Do I need to replace the clutch spring at the pedal cluster? What happened? The clutch pedal was fine before. Is there an adjustment that can be done. I'm having to pull the clutch pedal up with my foot in order to shift. HELP!

Thanks,
Greys

I had to pull my brake pedal up to release. The plastic pedal bushing had failed by swelling in reaction to wd40. That spring at the clutch pedal helps it go down to the pedal board, not back up.

I have read somewhere in here people talked about replacing the spring but I doubt it.
On my personal experience when my slave cylinder busted, the pedal went all the way to the floor. To me, this indicated the pedal return is from the fluid pressure, not the spring. Or both?
