cis injection problems, a real mystery

I have a 74 911 with cis injection. Not a single manual or book so far has been able to help me with this problem. With just the fuel pump running, the injectors are discharging fuel. The control pressure is 24psi and the fuel pressure is 70psi. I have tried another fuel distributor but no luck. HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is the problem? those specs seem to be close to the norm.

That sounds like the injectors are out of spec ... if my memory serves me right, I believe those injectors are not supposed to leak any fuel at 29 psi! You may want to try an extra-rich load of Techron on a quarter-tankfull of gas!

It appears that something is preventing your sensor plate from returning to a fully rested position.

If you put some down pressure on the plate it should stop the flow of fuel flowing out the injectors confirming that the plate is set too high at rest.

Joe
