Turbo/RSR Flares FG or Steel?

Fiberglass or steel? I am trying to decide on which turbo flares to install. Match up with RSR bumpers. Probably go with Rennspeed if FG. Any tips on their quality?

Rennspeed is good for quality.

When doing mine I was told that steel is better if it is a street car as they are obviously more resistant to stone chips etc.

Steel flares are getting more difficult to source (esp the early style flares you'd need for an RSR replica).
Steel flares are more expensive.

If going for the extra wide 74 RSR then fg is the only way to go.

Are you welding them youself or having it done? If done at a shop ask them what they suggest.

Good luck

i have steel for the rear because it makes sense for welding to existing quarter panels. for the front i went with rennspeed FG because these are bolt-on (fitting is required however)

Thanks for the insight. I plan on doing these myself using the 3M bonding product vs. welding. I understand this is better than welding and much easier. I have always been told that resale value- wise steel is the way to go. This will be a street car mainly, but I want to keep it light since I am running a 2.7 motor.

Front steel 930 fenders are tough to find at a decent price.
