Ever since selling the 86 cab, I haven't been happy without having a 911. The WRX is a great car, but I didn't need the four doors and it was just lacking something... To make a long story short, we have had our eyes open and have been looking for a while. After looking at some nice cars and some real dogs, I came across this low mile 92 turbo. While its not perfect (some minor oil leaks) it runs great and overall is in excellent condition. Here are some pictures... | ||

Yeah, the way I bought is a little strange. It was at a place I didn't get a warm fuzzy from, so I had a guy I know that owns a high end dealership here in town get it flat bedded to a mechanic for a PPI, then I had him negotiate down the price to what I wanted to pay, then bought it directly from my guy here in town. I had heard some bad things about the place that originally had it. I am not sure why it is even on e-bay. In the end it worked out great, and I only have a couple of minor things to fix and replace. The overall condition of the car is great, and the modifications are tasteful (excpet maybe for the wheels, but they were $$). It absolutley hauls some serious butt too... Bill

I just looked again and it is still on Ebay. I figured you did some sort of manipulation since the plate is different ont he car it he pic but how many 92 turbos with that low miles and those rims are out there. Congrats. i'm insanely jealous. Is it seriously fast and what woudl you compare it to? Love the sport seats

I don't have anything to even compare it too. I haven't really driven it super hard yet as I need to change the lower plugs and plug wires, and its been pretty cold, but when the boost kicks in second it will break the back tires loose. Its has Bilstein PS-9's, twin plugged, B&B exhaust with stainless heater boxes and very well taken care of what I can tell. The PPI came back great with a couple of oil leaks that I can live with for a while. Bill

Noice - I love the 964 turbos - all the comforts of the 964 plus the haul a$$/in your face attributes of the older turbos... Stick a big friggin bow on that baby and make the whole neighborhood jealous (at least the guys!)

Congratulations on a nice car...the wheels remind me of the 3.6 turbo wheels (I like them)...better than the standard positive offset wheels.

Lucky you! As I understand, the 964 turbo is the last in the line of the raw turbos. Two wheel drive and single turbo. Is there a groovy turbo lag ? Must be a killer when it comes on boost. Congrats, I admit - I am a bit envious.
