911 ST Flares
I have backdated Carerra 3.0 and I was hoping of going for the ST look I have seen that GT racing sell glass wings/fenders that provide the 9” flare to recreate that look. However I have a couple of questions that you guys maybe able to help me answer.
The rear ST flare is 9” my stock body Carerra already comes with a rear flare from standard. Is the Carerra3.0 flare the same or similar to the ST or RS flare? Do they look that different? Do you guys think I can run the front ST 9” flared glass wings with my standard rear Carerra flares? Will it look right?

The ST flares are more rounded - You could probably make the Carrera flare rounded - I know rdane did a similiar treatment to the rear of his car.

Here was my solution when I built my ST replica. I hammered out the fender lips adding just over 1/2" of flare while rounding the edges. I did use the ST/RSR early fenders from GT Racing.
ST Project update: roll your own(long with pics)

I have to say thats bloody amazing and just the kind of feedback I was hoping for.
Do you have a link for the finished article? ![]() Last question; can I use my standard glass 'S' bumper with the GT Racing wings or do I have to buy the wider ST front bumper from GT racing?

Here are some finished pictures. there are many more links in the archives that you can find by searching my user name and "project". Look for the threads that I started.
Gratuitous Photos of my ST Replica You will need the new front bumper. The stock S bumper will be about 1.5" too narrow to meet up with the flares. Of course, Some early racing pictures that show cars running under the then new Gruppe B rules that allowed 2" wider flares do not have the wide bumper. Makes the car look quite purposeful but not quite complete. btw, Chad is hosting a large collection of ST pictures and there are many in the archives here on PP. http://www.plavanracing.com/porschestpage1.htm
