Parking Brake light indicator sensitivity

The parking brake light on my dash is super sensitive. If I just barely start to pull the hadble up it lights up. It's so sensitive that wehn I go over bumps it triggers it. It gets kind of annoying. Is there a way to adjust it's sensitivity?

Yup...the switch is located inside the handle housing...you have access to the switch to adjust it...

Hmm, not to figure out how to get the grip off of the handle. I have one of those grips that have the combination lock on them. I haven't noticed a screw but I'll look again when I get a chance.

Thanks.

On mine (1984) I can adjust it with two screws on the slotted portion...you can see them on the side of the housing.

Can you provide a picture?

No luck in finding this tonight. I pulled up the housing and I looked all over but couldn't find anything. No mention of it in the Bentley manual either.

Hi Paul...I got this pic...it doesn't have the adjusting srcews in place but you can see the hole for them...You have to remove the seats to gain access to it. Mine is a 84, yours a 87...I don't know if there is a different setting for it.

Uhh, I was hoping I didn't have to take the seats off. Looks like it will be a weekend project for me. Thanks for the picture.
