Question Can you id this Porsche driver?

A friend of my recently went to Europe for vacation. While there he happened across a photo shoot involving and old Porsche. Knowing well my love of these cars he tooks some pictures which I wanted to share with you guys. Here is my friends email:"http://www.sportclasse.pt/actualidade.php?l=en&PHPSESSID=1ebb26b0be72a407cc910231c7049d93

We were in front of the Vasco DeGamo monument in Lisbon and this guy was having his picture taken with the Porsche. Since you are always interested, I stopped and talked with the driver and the photographer for a couple of minutes and then took some pictures for you. Seems he won a lot of races back in the late 60s and early 70s in Europe. Not much more to tell. The link above takes you to a racing site in Portugal. He has pictures throughout the site. You can even see card #4 in several of them."

I personally have not heard of this guy. Can anyone provide some info?

Thanks and Happy Holidays to each of you.

Neat photos.

I like those wheels, though a bit skinny.

Looks like the guys' name might be mentioned on the site you gave the link to. Only problem is I don't know how to read Portugese (or Spanish either if that would help ??).

Cool your friend stumbled across the shoot!

There's very little on the web about him, looks like he was Portuguese Sports Car Champion in 1967 and again in '72, both times in a Porsche:

From www.forix.com

"Portuguese Sports Car Championship
1967: Américo Nunes (P), Porsche
1972: Américo Nunes (P), Porsche"
