heater backdate parts at partsheaven soon.
i was just there yesterday. al showed me his prototypes. he is having them made new again. the one he showed me was perfect. he is making the "dented" version too for the larger distributor cars. i dont know when they will be available, but he said, "anyday now". he thinks they will be $50ish per side. this is FYI only.

I hear you. I just want to see them. Pictures are real to me. I was in the process of trying to find out why my heater blower doesn't work anymore when I came up with the, "why even look at it in the first place; why not back-date" thought. So, I'm trying to do the research to make sure it will fit on the right side where the AC compressor sits, etc.

When they are ready for the waiting public (me specificaly) please post the contact info. I want to backdate soon. I love the clean look and I'm tired of rebuilding my blower motor!

So let me ask the dumb question. Do they allow for AC compressor to still be installed. If so, I'm buying.

While I'm at it then, can you use the existing one on the left side and route directly to the heat exchanger or do you need to purchase the right part (82SC). Seems that you could repurpose the existing one if you could just reduce the output size.

Backdate ducts
OK, here are the photo's I promised, with some pertinent information.
These ducts are not yet in production, but may be available within the next few weeks. Parts Heaven 510-782-0354 or info@partsheaven.com These fit up to the 2.7, but can be massaged (dented) to fit the 3.0. At a later date, the 3.0 models (predented ;-) will follow. Ducts are fabbed from sheetmetal and painted black.   Additional hard to find parts are as follows: 944 shift knob caps (blk or brn)  77-86 Aftermarket clutch cable support bracket
