oil preasure gauge
How do I tell if my guage reads psi or bar?
It has 0,1,2,3,4,5,etc... on it. and whats a normal preasure, 1 for 1k rpm? Tks.... Ohhh, BY the way, every time I´m in a traffic or low rpm,I have valve ticking, and when the rpm goes up the ticking is almost dead. Can this be a low rpm oil preasure problem? |

Hello Marcello!
That would be the gauge reading in 'Bar' or Atmospheres of pressure. I can't really say what would be considered 'norma' at idle ... Bruce Anderson doesn't seem to think there is a real 'low' limit, there seems to be some variation from engine to engine. I think the valve noise you describe is just 'normal' for a 911 engine, and nothing to worry about! At some point the valve train noises just fade into exhaust, induction, and fan and chain MELODY in that beautiful mix that gives the 911 engine its' 'CHARACTER!!!' ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
