Get PMO's or have Webers rebuilt
Anyone here running PMO carbs?
Do you like them? The webers on my '71 are just too far gone and its time to do something about it. |
I was thinking about having my Webers rebuilt by one of the many shops that do the line boring procedure. I have also owned a car with PMO's so I know how nice they perform. I loved the PMO's but I think a good set of rebuilt Webers would be fine.

PMOs are superior... and of course you''ll get a good guarantee and support.
However...it comes down to money. I imagine a rebuild Weber setup will cost about 1200 or so all up, assuming throttle shafts are worn. And PMOs are in the 3K range? Your call. |
+1 what Jake said. On my 2.7 RS type motor, the PMO's were vastly superior in every aspect, but a significant $$$ difference.

I think the pmo's are the best route... those guys give great support and it is arrive and drive ... sort of ... you tell them what your engine is and they send you a pair jetted properly and ready to bolt on and go.
I have used the pmo guys for weber parts too... very nice people to deal with. |
