Question securing car cover

This may seem like a dumb question, but i can't figure out how to secure my $200 car cover on my 911. How do i secure it with the cable provided? doesn't seem like it is long enough to go the from one side to the other and back?

Does it have 2 loops with one being larger than the other? If so, stickthe smaller loop through the hole in the cover and then into the larger loop. Then you pull it across and put the smaller loop into the other hole and loop it through. Stick a lock in the loop and lock it to the straight length of cable.
