anyone know how long the exhaust studs are bought a stud removal tool from another pelican ,just want how far down to drill to extract stud ....would like to know overall length and how deep it goes into the head .it's a 911 3.0 motor with thin flanges ....thanks

You may want to make a mark on the drill bit.
If you can take out a good stud and make note of how deep it went in or measure the depth once a good stud is removed. |

It is a 50mm M8 stud, but the majority of the stud sticks out above the head. The part that goes into the head is only about 10mm deep. I know this because I got lucky and one stud just came out. But then I also was unlucky because my first stud snapped at the level of the heat exchanger flange. I bought Christian's tool and it worked like a charm. No damage to the threads at all. Good luck!
