Car is back on all fours

Ok, after a long battle with wheel bearings hubs, brakes, steering wheel the car is back where it belongs and feels like a new car. I won't blabber on but if anybody is going to attempt to replace rear bearings, email me and I will let you know what I did to get them out and back in without tearing up the car/bearings. Or, just let me know there is some interest and I will post here.

On a related note, I'm pretty good with working on the car. I have done most things the faint of heart wouldn't try. The secret to brake bleeding however, still eludes me. Every time I attempt this seemingly simple task, the brakes are softer than when I started. What is the secret to bleeding the brakes on this car? I have tried everything short of the little hand vacuum thingy. Only tool I don't own So what's the deal? The lines don't look swelled or anything like that I just can't get that solid feeling the car had when I started.

I know exacly that starnge feelong-not really porsche-like.

Pressure bleeding is preferred to get rid of bubbles in the master cylinder. may be worth going to a shop to do so (should be less that 50$ inc. new fluid).

For "adjusting" the brakes, please refer to the old post:http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/002591.html

It really worked perfectly- no complains any more with my car.

Good luck,

jens
