Sudden loss of gas pedal response
I'm having a strange problem with my 90 C4. Sometimes out of the blue the engine won't respond to the gas pedal. The engine winds down to it's typical 1000 rpm idle and doesn't stall, but I have to pump the gas pedal a few times for the engine to respond to it.
I could be wrong, but it seems to happen more when I am driving at a constant speed and then slow down, making me think that something is sticking. Any ideas |

the accelerator rod going thru the tunnel has a rubber joint attached to it which may have come apart or is coming apart. Could be that or another part of the linkage. otherwise, you may have a accelerator pump problem or something similar.
