Let's see Signal Orange hot rod ?!
I would like to see some slightly modified Signal Orange narrow body ? Any others like this one or other shot of it ? RGruppe ? Amercian racing wheels? lowered? Stripes?
Thanks ![]() ![]()

This car is just about perfect. Clean, pure lines. Reminds me why these cars are great.
I would only lose the bumper uprights. ![]()

Chuck,
Couldn't agree more. A truly timeless beauty. How about this one? I have wondered if it is the same car? ![]()

Andy,
That is a really cool 911. R-look in the front with rear flares, center fill tank, Minilites, and of course Signal Orange, fantastic! What is the story with that one?

Bob, I apologize but over the years I have lost track of the exact years. I now have those pictures in a folder titled "Early Cars". I do happen to remember (I think!) that those shots were from the initial Cambria run by the RGruppe if that helps. You can probably look up RGruppe.com and stroll through their pix to find them.
To atone for my forgetfulness, I offer this: ![]() I remember this car as a '70 because it was for sale about two years ago near me in (I think) Sierra Madre and the guy wanted the low $20k's for it. It was absolutely perfect. Wish I could have afforded it.

Here is mine, also pictured above in Dan's post. At this point it falls more into the heavily modified although not too much physical alteration.

I, too, LOVE orange, early 911s. Not sure why. The one directly above is about perfect for my tastes. I would probably only remove the bumperettes & perhaps shorten the pipes a bit.
Great thread. Thanks.

I love the signal orange porsche's as well - even love the fact that the new GT3 is being offered in SO. What's really strange is that I hate, no LOATHE, the color orange. Seriously, there is no color I abhore more so it was a surprise that I fell in love with the old school orange 911s (and old school signal green ones too).
