I have read if the trans no. has a '12' in it, it's LSD.

rotate one driveshaft, if the other rotates in the same direction it's LSD, if opposite it's open

yeah... just jack up 1 rear tire with the tranny in neutral, if you can spin it its open if not you have a LSD.

50-37-3 is the CAS No. for LSD
