Antenna in trunk
![]() Has anyone ever made a permanent fitment of their radio antenna in the trunk? I have filled in the hole in the fender, and prefer not to buy a new windshield and amplifier as they are very costly. Perhaps it could be placed in a plastic tube and run across between the sunvisors? What is the optimum length needed? I was told that some unmarked security vehicles have antennas inside so they remain stealthy. Thanks in advance for your help. Len Keep smiling, you own a Porsche, and there is NO substitute. ![]() |

![]() Thanks, I just bought one and will give it a try. For $35 it is worth the risk. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. To those who don't, have a nice day. Len ![]() |

Let us/me know how it works out. I'm considering one, also.
Thanks, D. O. |

Same here I need to replace my winshield and this would be a lot cheaper then buying one with an internal antena.

I had one of those powered FM antennas that simply stick on a window, worked great. I stuck it on the back window of my 914 and you'd never notice it...

I purchased a power boosted compact antenna that mounted under the dash from Radio Shack. It was cheap and works great.
