Wow, I was not yet registered on this Board when I first posted to this thread. I said it then and I'll say it now. If the Germans had not already built a high performance air cooled engine that would last several hundred thousand miles, it would be considered flatly impossible. "you gotta be kidding" they'd say. Yes, those Germans are just as clever as they say. More so. They've always had the best toys.
