911 Anorexia

I took my car to the scale, but don't know what the established norms are for its weight. I had a full tank of gas, which I just realized weighs about 90 pounds. I also had a spare in it, as well as a jack, a tool kit, an additional toolbox, and two sets of floor mats on top of the carpets. Take out that stuff, and my car is less than 2500 pounds, even with its heavier new engine.

When you give your vehicle weight, say for a racing classification, what's the accepted amount of accesories and liquids assumed to be onboard?

I believe "curb weight" means "ready to go, without driver." Oil, full tank, spare, tool kit...

For racing purposes, I'd assume "ready to race." No spare, no tool kit, no cigarette butts, no driver, full tank. I thought a full tank of gas would weigh more. But I believe you.

FWIW, the numbers I've seen for gasoline are about 7.1 lbs/gal.

I found 6.17 pounds per gallon @ 60 degrees fahrenheit, which sounds credible, but I found it on the internet...
