Is this a good price and supplier? Pic of the 930....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1167532525.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1167532539.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1167532555.jpg |
Our host sells H-4's. We KNOW he's a good supplier...:)

Mike,
I second what PWD says. Your link is broken but I presume that this is the seller on e-bay that has a set of Bosch H-4 assemblies for about $310. He has been on for ages offering them at (or about) that price. As far as a reference, I have never bought anything from him nor do I know any about him other than that ad. |
Pelican...yes, I'm a longtime customer and Wayne even tolerates me....has them for $200 a side....a bit pricey.
GPR $159.00......I mean I LIKE the look and the beam they throw as compared to the DOT, POS's that are in the car now.....but harrumph....that's some change. Part of the fun screwing around with these cars is finding the deals and playing with them....anyone can write a check. |
Hmmm. You bought a 930 but a $20 difference between Wayne ($203 each) and your ebay ad ($193 each) is out of reach?
|
I'm just a postwhore....don't mind me....
|
Mike--
You could also go with the Hella H4s -- keeps the stock look but greatly improves the light thrown. I'm using them with 80/100s (with the Sucro relay installed, of course.) Just another thought. Nice new ride BTW! Happy New Year |
Yeah, I've used those in the past.....the bad thing is...to me at least, those tiny DOT lenses with the big surrounds just really DATE the car....yeah I know, it's almost 30 years old....but the H4s just look right.

I'm going with H4s as my next project. I balk at the price, too, but hitting a deer isn't gonna be cheaper. I will eventually bite the bullet and spend the $400. I wonder what the wholesale price is? Maybe the cost should be partially subsidized by Pelican as a public safety initiative. ;)
BTW, is that wood dash a factory option? Looks kinda British. Regards, |
