Anyone have 15x8 wheels on a 65-73 911?
Do any of you have 15"x8" rear wheels on a 1965-1973 911? Do any of you know if this is possible to put 15"x8' wheels on a narrow body 911 without rolling or modifying the rear fenders?
Thanks! Brandon |

No, it's not, unless you have the suspension up at rallye height. Normal (non-R type) 15x7 often requires some rolling of the fender lips depending on tire choice, 15x8 has the same backspace, the extra inch of width is all outboard.
With RS flares it works great. |

Here's a thread I started with pics of my orange car with 15X8's front and rear with 205/50/15 Yoko A032's.
As you can see, you need lots of negative camber, and maybe a little narrower tire than a 205, or maybe a different brand of 205 with rounder sidewalls. No way it could be done without rolling the lips though. Mine aren't rolled, but then, I never drove the car with these wheels on it either. I just trial fitted them for some inspiration. 205? 205 is too small a tire for 8 in rims i would think. 205 is great on a 6 inch rim. I run 225 wide tries on 7 inch rims.

Just to clarify:
Standard issue 15x8 Fuchs will not fit. However, you can get 15x8 wheels to fit if you are willing to use something other than the Fuchs. Fender rolling may be on a case by case basis though as fitment does get tight when you get up to those sizes. Good Luck! Images from an old thread . ![]() ![]() |
