I have done a number of things to fix up my '77 Targa and now I am ready to put it up for sale. To support my marketing, I am asking Pelican people to review and comment on my web page ad.

In your first sentence you spell Porsche incorrect....yowser.

Make your bold picture and engine rebuild words actual links to them.

Include a photo of the rebuild sheet.

Lower that bad boy all the way around and feed your seats some conditioner.

Good luck....nice looking car.

Beware of crazy reflections of yourself in window pics.

The biggest selling point is the $11.5K engine rebuild.

I think people are going to want to see the written documentation for that - the invoices for the parts and labor. You should scan those in and post them on the site. Buyers love that stuff.

+1 on the rebuild invoices. best thing is to scan them in and present them as jpegs. There really isn't a lot of description on the maintainance or repairs you or the previous owners did.

If you are really motivated to improve your ad, ditch your interior photos--they make it look worn. Instead, turn the flash off your camera and shoot in medium light. You might add a shot of the odometer, the VIN, and the door jamb showing the paint code.

How about a topless shot? The exterior looks very good, by the way, as the light was good and not too bright.

Up until now, I was proud of my spelling abilities. Then two errors on the first page! I fixed those right away!

These are great comments! Keep them coming.

I am considering an eBay listing but I think most eBay bidders are bottom fishing. What do you think?

These can be fun cars if all of the bugs and issues have been worked out. They never quite escape the 1974-77 stigma though, and always have been priced significantly lower than 911SCs.

I would swap out that fan strap - that doesn't look too good all covered with rust. Someone bead blasted that at one time, and then didn't recoat it (I made that mistake a long time ago).

+1! You might also want to take some emory cloth to the rust on the shifter and then touch it up. The outside looks great! I like the emphasis on the engine rebuild - BIG selling point! Good luck.

The only thing I would suggest is to note the deficiencies and the fact that you eliminated these - in the same paragraph.

Finally, I personally prefer bullet points rather than a lot of text. Keeps the listing clean and allows the reader to focus on what you feel they should focus on. But, there are those that like to read every detail the way you have it - so 6 of one........

There's another "Zufferhausen" in the second-to-last paragraph on the main page.

Also if you wanted to finish out the links at the bottom of the page, you could have them actually connect to something, for example the "Contact Us" could open an email with your email address already in the Subject line. I could help with this if you'd like. Just small details like this that make a site seem more "professional".
