73 911 TIRES DAMNIT

73 911 tires. What will fit?. Was thinking 205 55 15 Dunlop 8000. Daily driver, performance (of course, damnit) . Stock 15 by 6. Comment now please.

Alright. Comment on size is that 185/70 is standard and up to 215/60 will fit (probably - they do on my car) unless you are extra low.

205/60 is pretty common - I think I will get those soon.

205/55 will materially lower your gearing/affect your speedo, so you should bear that in mind.

I have a set of RE730s in 205-55-15. Very happy -- just the right amount of road feel and stiffness. Size is low but not ridiculously small looking. I wouldn't recommend 50s without lowering and that gets pretty complicated.

Good luck with it.
