Momo Competition
Does anyone know where to get a Porsche emblem/horn button for a Momo Competition wheel?
Thanks in advance. 911SC |

Not sure if it's the same button, but GPR (www.********) had them for $39 a while back.

Don't you have a Momo importer in the US? I bought my horn push bottom straight from the danish Momo importer. I can't remember the price though... (sorry)

Mikkel, unfortunately MOMO discontinued the Porsche crested horn buttons to North America at least. If you could get them there you could make good money selling them on Ebay.
Does MOMO still hand paint the center caps? ------------------ '76 911S '80 924 M471 |

I bought my Momo horn push about 2 years ago. It has the Porsche crest in it and looks very good. I don't think that it's painted. It feels rather mass produced (don't misunderstand me). I mean it's nice, but super detailed and handbuilt, no. I looked for the invoice, but somehow I must have mislaid it. And I'm the one who keeps EVERYTHING that has to do with my Porsche... Anyway it sounds odd not being able to buy a horn push?? If things get ugly I'll check if you can still get them here. Then you can get them via mail order. The danish Momo importer is named "Rally Centret". I can get you guys their fax number/adress if you get all desperate

Mikkel, I'd love to get a horn button for my Competition wheel. If you could get us the information we might be able to get them here in the states. Hey, you could just buy a few and sell them to your friends here on the Pelican Parts forum!

I have a Momo Porsche crest button that I will sell. I bought it and then sold my car so I don't have a need for it. I paid $52.00 for it and that's what I'll sell it for. You pay shipping.

OK, now I got my nice Porsche horn button, and it is very nice too. The Momo wheel is already on the car with the Momo button surrounded by a ring held in place by small allen wrench bolts but the new button looks like it just pushes on. Is this true?
Sorry for the dumb question - I didn’t put this wheel on myself. Thanks and best regards -Andy |

Damn it, you guys are right!?!!
I just phoned the Momo importer here in Denmark to hear if they could get me a horn push with a Porsche crest. Same story as with you...! : "No because they stopped producing them since Porsche wants to preserve their Porsche crest"..."The one you (me) bought was one of the last we had"... So this is what it has come to? When will Porsche offer this as an official part? They ought to do so?? And I wouldn't believe you guys..... |

Mikkel you are correct. A few years back Porsche stepped in and put a stop to using their crest on certain things. You used to be able to find crests for wheel center caps and Lloyd Floor mats used to use the crest (they just started again with Porsche blessing). After market houses used to sell a center crest for the three spoke wheels...no longer. In speaking with one of the reps at an aftermarket house he told me that the crests were actually 356 hood badges that had been modified for the purpose. Maybe you can create one using one of those badges. (Just a thought). Good luck!!
