Haven't got time to get a manual yet but what should I look for with the gauges? Oil temp, pressure, etc. Is there a site I can go to find out all the button functions i.e. heating and such?

Certain functions e.g. the heat is difficult to figure out even WITH a manual.

Score an owner's manual on Pelican 'for sale' listings or ebay, plentiful. Provide pic and year/model of 911 to Pelicans. Play with 'search' function on BBS header page. Ask questions. Get out credit cards. Forget previous life.
We are all prisoners here, of our own device. Regards,

I recommend the first thing you do is learn how to check and add oil (911s are not like any other car I have owned). Get a feel for how much oil your car uses per 1000 miles. Congrats.

An S Sporto has got to be a fairly rare 911, I'd keep it as stock as possible for resale value...
