Appreciation for Kevin at Automotive Innovations

After I purchased my first Porsche, one of the ancillary things I expected was being taken to the cleaners by parts suppliers and mechanics. Guess it comes from the stereotyping fed to me for years about Porsche's and Porsche ownership. Having had a number of cars and having dealt with a number of suppliers and mechanics, reality is far from expectation. Here is a story of recent opportunity for me to be reamed but by the professionalism of a stand-up guy, I will end up way ahead.

I purchased a deck lid from Kevin at Automotive Innovations and it was damaged in shipping. I contacted Kevin and told him of the situation and he not only talked me through how to file an insurance claim with the shipper, but immediately began searching for a new lid to send me. All I had to do was send him back the damaged lid once the shipper was done inspecting it and we would deal with money for the new lid later. Turns out, not only has Kevin found a new lid, he is prepping and painting it before sending it to me. Not asked or expected, he just did it.

According to google maps, I am 1213 miles away from Kevin's shop and I am sure my wife would not look to kindly on me popping down to shake his hand and buy him dinner/beer. As I try to find a way to thank Kevin, the next best thing I can do is make sure all of you know of Kevin and his evident character.
