1985 Carrera Door Lock Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm having an incredibly frustrating time with my door locks/locking mechanism. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's what's going on.

On the driver's side door, when I turn the key to lock the car, nothing happens on the driver door and the passenger door lock activates and immediately deactivates. The driver door cannot be manually locked either. I replaced the lock solenoid and that did not work. I think something is jamming the mechanism, but I'm having trouble seeing what or where the problem is.
