Ok i tried the search... P195/60/15's on 15x7?

I still do not have this tire size thing down...

Will 195/60/15's work on 15x7" fuchs on my SC?

I am planning on running P195/60/15's on the fronts and on the rear 15x8's P215/60/15's rear.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Yes that would work fine. I've run that size on the front of my SC before.

Not that you asked but I prefer 205/50 or 55 up front and 225/50/15 out back...

Looking at tires only and not if there is a rub issue you can run a 225 on a 7 inch and 235 or push for a 245 on an 8 inch rim.

195 in a 7 inch rim is not well sized. 195 is better suited to a 5 inch rim.

I'm not too sure about that.

I just looked up the specs for a 195/60/15 Falken and the manufacturer calls for a 5.5-7" wide wheel.

I've run 185/70/15's on 6" and 7" rims. Green 912 should remember that...when we spun at Watkins Glen.

195/60's on 7"'s is just fine.

Thats good to know. I guess I am too peformance orented and look to run the most contact patch for a given rim. I run 205 on 6s and 225s on 7s

There's a chance that 195-50-15s on a 15x7 could be a more responsive tire than a 205 of the same series, as when you corner with the 195, you'll get less flex from the tire as it turns.

I would try 195 for the 7-inchers, and 205-50-15 for the 8-inchers. I can't remember all the tire manufacturers out there, and what they recommend as to rim width and tire width, but if you can get a 205 on an 8-inch Fuch, the lack of sidewall flex with a narrower tire stretched over a wider rim would be really nice.
