Swepco "installation"

O.K. I ordered my "transmission miracle in a jug" (Swepco) from Windward and it should get here sometime next week. I already know where the drain and fill plugs are and how to get them out. My question is: "Is there an easy way to put the stuff back in"?? I know some have used a turkey baster but there has to be a better way to do this other than turning the car on its side and pouring it in. rough on door panels and fender flares). Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!!!

Jim beat me to it. That's exactly what I used. They screw right on to the top of the bottle and have a clear hose so you get to see the blue stuff going in.

Be sure to run some cheap stuff through the tranny for a couple weeks to flush it out before putting the gooooood stuff in. It will help to clean up the syncs a bit. I ran some havoline 80/90 for a couple weeks, dropped it out and then put the blue stuff in. Lots of junk on the magnetic drain plug first time around, a little the second time. Hopefully the Swepco will keep this to a minimum. Also adjusted clutch and shifter to Wayne's specs on "tech articles" page. Every little bit helps.

Yes, those pumps are available everywhere, quite inexpensive, and well worth it. And I would also agree that a lesser oil should be used first, to flush.

Isn' the Swepco pretty? And stinky? Gear oil is interesting stuff. First, it seems that wiht petroleum products, the heavier the viscosity, the lighter the weight. Gear oil feels like whipped cream, weight-wise. Also, a small spill or leak makes a big mess. It gets everywhere

Folks thank you all for your quick reply. I will run the cheap stuff through for a week or so. How much of the cheap stuff should I get...I don't want to get a gallon of it if some of it will only go to waste! Thanks again Love this place!!!

I just filled my (overburdened by a 3.6) early 915 transaxle with Swepco 210, which is red. After one test drive, the improvement (from the stock stuff that came in the transaxle) is noticeable.
