Anyone try AVBLEND OIL additive?

Saw this on aviation sites and it seems perfect for aircooled engines. Very popular product that may be of some benefit to our aircooled engines. Not cheap. FAA approved. Maybe a solution to slowing down valve guide wear, typical in aircooled engines.

Not Yet...

I've not used Avblend, but I recall reading somewhere that the FAA approval of this product was kind of a "one-off" event that may not have actually complied with the regular FAA approval process.
Of course, FAA approval does not mean it will do any good - just that it is believed by the FAA not to cause any harm when used in a certificated aircraft engine. So, whatever other merits the product may have, I think I would be hesitant to read too much into the "FAA approved" aspect.
