quick pricing question
I just took delivery of my 71T targa from florida. It needs the carbs syncronized and tuned for my elevation and climate. What would one expect to pay for this service? (zeinith carbs)

i still want to know

Labor rates are 80-100 per hour. I would think
not more than 3 hours to sync and tune the carbs at a shop familiar working on older models. However sometimes if the carbs can not be adjusted it may require additional time and tweaking. Jet cleaning , Valve and timing adjustment. linkage adjustment spark plug replacement. All things that comtribute to good carbuerator performance. |
Is the difference in elevation between FL and IL really enough to necessitate carb tuning?

I know nothing about carbs. a simple diagram telling me what screw does what would help alot. i know i need to lean out three of them. they are visibly popping and shooting fuel out. and the car doesnt want to rev past 2200 rpm or so |
