79 930 question, sitting for 13 years....

Looks like my fuel head is clogged....can it be pulled while the engine is the car? Is it rebuildable? What are my options?

You can get that off with the engine in the car.

You can't get a new one anymore, but you can get rebuilt.

Just hold onto your wallet. A rebuilt one is around $1500.

Or you can try a used one.

Turbos that have been sitting for 13 years often = big $$$ to get running correctly again.

STOP driving it and have the entire fuel system cleaned out before you ruin the next one. Make sure the brakes have been gone through. Make SURE ALL the hoses and fittings on this car are replaced- not inspected- replaced. Don't forget to also replace the flexible brake lines.

In the long run this will prove to be a cheap way of saving yourself a lot of grief, getting stranded, or wrecked.

Imagine Auto will rebuild a fuel head for $400, or modify it for increased flow for $450-540.

There's a really good thread on this BBS about rebuilding a fuel head on your own. It can be done successfully.
