Porsche Crest Porsche, Penske and the 917...

OK, they're not all on the same team in this video, but it's pretty cool none the less. Check out the speed differential between the Wyer 917 and the Javelin while Donohue's voice -over is talking about hitting 6800 RPM on the straight.

The speed differential is amazing! Looks like a jet fighter passing a prop plane.

How fast were those 917's on the straights of Daytona?
(The Javelin part of the video was a yawner. Sorry. But I did like the brief footage of the Porsches)

dunno about daytona but the 917/30 did 238mph at le mans and over 248mph at talladega

The 917/30 never raced at Le Mans.
