Seats
Sorry to keep bugging you guys, but I am very picky about anything I buy and I am trying to do as much research as possible before buying a prospective porsche.
Question: What is the best/cost effective way to redo blue leather seats on an 87 carrera? I notice many places sell new ones in black, but I want to go original color. If there is not a supplier of color coded seats, will an upholsterer be able to match the color fairly closely w/new hides? Thanks Again, Michael w |

I guess the saying is, anything is possible for the right price. Recovering seats is not really a Porsche specific item, so I think any business that does custom interiors for cars such as Hot Rods, etc could recover them. There is a company in CA that will recover your seats and deal mostly with Porsche. They seemed expensive. My old sport seats in my 89 911 have beed replaced by Recaro's. I called there to get a price on what my seats are worth. To get recovered seats the same as what mine are originally, they wanted $2300. Best of luck.
