Tach Doesn't Work
I have a 72 911E with a Perma Tune Ignition. When I got the car neither the tach nor the old ignition worked. Installed new Perma Tune which fixed the ignition problem. The tach still doesn't work. Perma tune gives 3 wiring options, none of which get the tach to work. I checked for continuity on the black/purple wire running from the engine compartment to the tach and the wire is sound. Checked all connections. Nothing. Any suggestions as to how to test the tach? All I have for testing is a multi meter, no fancy equipment. If I have to send the tach off to be fixed, anyone know a reputable place to send it? Thanks.
