?Any ideas to fix 911 sun visors?

I've noticed many old 911s (like my '80 911SC Targa) have totally warped sun visors, although the material is in perfect condition. Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing these -- short of buying new ones for the ridiculous amount of over $150! Do you slit them and insert a board? Anyone try expanding insulation material, or something like that? Appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

If you're not looking for concours, this seems to be the easiest way out:

Vinyl Specialties have done 3 sets for me. They all look great and the price is excellent.

I bit the bullet and bought a new set of 964 visors for my '75 from our host. I figure that they are in your face everytime you're in the car, so they should look halfway decent and be a pleasure to use. Besides, my wife likes the mirrors on the backside.

Restoration is the way to go. I tried the slice and insert cardboard/foam method, and they were better, but were far from perfect.

I think stock visors were made by the lowest bidder back in the day. A custom job looks so much better in my opinon.
