Moisture in 87 911 Distributor

Moisture collects inside cap even during a wash or light rain. Cap/cover wires and boots have been replaced. All seems to fit well and there are no noticable cracks/gaps. This has been a long standing problem. Any suggestions short of replacing the distributor? Thanks
