windshield trim install help

I need some hints as to how in the world I can get the metal trim into a new windshield seal. From the few posts I've read (and unfortunnately agree with), it is nearly impossible to put the trim back into place. Any suggstions are highly appreciated. By the way, it is a '77 coupe.

Hey there Nathan,

Get your windshield on a set of boxes with the seal installed on the windshield. Spray some silicone on the back of the trim.Take your trim and lay it over the seal. Make sure it is in place the way you want it. Start from one end, with one hand pulling back on the ouside of the trim, and one hand squeezing the trim into the seal slot, work your way around. You should be able to feel it "click" into place.

I just did this last week actually. It isnt easy, and i took me about an hour to get both trim pieces in.
