Front fender flaring
Hello all,
I have a '75 911S and am looking for two replacement fenders for an upcoming paint job. Are the front fenders and flaring the same through all the years, 74-89? Thanks in advance, Randy |

i've wondered this also. i think the swb (65-68) had a very minimal flare and the 69-89 i think were the the same, but i'm not sure. did the 911r have front flares that were basically the same as the 69-89 front?

Well there is the "ST " flare ,was it just the rear ? the 930 was both front and rear as the RSR and I know therte are others.so pick what you like. It is your flavor

Thanks for the replies. I believe the 930 turbo cars are different and probably the RS cars. The fenders that I've seen for sale here and on ebay and other sites often list the 74-89 model years. One thing that maybe different is the antenna hole. On my car it's on the left fender and I think on the later cars it may have moved to the right. Can anyone confirm this.

I think the antenna hole will be the least of the problems......power to push big wheels is one,..... well it never stops..just gets slippery all the way dwn.
All solved with $$

you can use any 911 fender made from 74-89. The later the fender usually means less chance of rust, but that is not a guarantee ! The antenna hole can be filled if not on the side you want. But i would recommend installing a manual antenna on the passenger side if that is what you find.

I'll stretch it and claim that, while the front fenders are not the same, the fender flares from 69'-'89 are the same.
